commercial / traditional, new / old, styled / organic, manmade / natural, ruined / beautiful.
I looked at the fusion of Venician buildings with street art. The delapidation of the surroundings were thought provoking and many would say not conventionally beautiful. The shape and texture of the rustic and unkempt buildings enticed me. I felt certain pieces of graffiti around Venice told a story- along the winding tourist led pavements towards San Marco’s infamous square led the directions by arrow. The graffiti could be seen as destructive, political or art.
My concept was for the proposal of a rejuvenation of brand/company head offices. The popular dance music magazine 'MixMag' has grown in quality and readers over the years and I thought it would be an exciting company to design for.
The floor designs intend to depict an interesting journey for the staff and maybe uplift old memories of travelling- with organic, flowing lines and sporadic bright colours to add intensity and excitement to day to day working.
Our project brief was given to us by inspiring carpet company 'EGE'.
